Riga TechWeek is a community-led festival that brings the best practices from the world’s most impactful Tech Weeks to Latvia.

This isn’t a single-stage conference with a single host. Instead, it’s a city-wide mix of events where companies, creators, and communities across Riga open their doors to host talks, workshops, meetups, and demos. Each event adds a fresh perspective, a new connection, and an unexpected opportunity.

Behind the scenes is a grassroots network of industry professionals with global experience, who believe in the strength of Latvia’s tech ecosystem and want to see it thrive.

Looking Back at 2025

Our inaugural edition (August 25-31, 2025) brought together Latvia’s tech community in a new way — no single conference, no central organizer, just companies and creators across Riga opening their doors. Visitors came from the US, UK, Ukraine, Turkey, Nigeria, Egypt and across the Baltics.

How does Riga TechWeek work?

Riga TechWeek is a decentralized tech festival. There’s no single conference or central stage. Instead, events happen across Riga during one week — hosted by startups, companies, communities, and individuals. From hackathons to panels, meetups to demos, every event is organized by its host. We provide the platform, promotion, and unified calendar on Lu.ma.

When is the next Riga TechWeek?

Why no festival in 2026?

Our 2025 edition proved the concept. Rather than rush a smaller 2026, we’re taking the time to build a bigger, better festival for 2027. We’ll open 2027 participation in early 2027 — join the newsletter to be first to know.

How can my company host an event?

What kinds of events can I host?

Whatever format fits your audience: panels, workshops, hackathons, open houses, meetups, product launches, dinners, hardware demos, even parties. In 2025 we had everything from a hospital tech sandbox to a seaside blockchain mixer.

Is it free to attend?

Each event is run by its host, who decides pricing. We encourage hosts to keep events free or low-cost, but paid formats are welcome when they support a valuable experience. Check each event’s page on Lu.ma.

Is there a single ticket for the whole week?

No — each event registers separately on Lu.ma. When the 2027 calendar opens you’ll register for the individual events that interest you. Follow our Lu.ma for 2027 events: luma.com/rigatechweek.

Who runs Riga TechWeek?

Riga TechWeek is a community-driven initiative organized by industry professionals with international tech experience. We bring best practices from established Tech Weeks (San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Boston) and adapt them to Latvia’s ecosystem.
